FACES ON BOOK

faces on book is a project i started around a year ago. it is a never ending series of portraits of facebook profile pictures.
at first i was fascinated by the way people choose to portray their self,
the  way people decide to be perceived by the world.
there was something magic about it.
so i started.
there are many elements playing a role in this game : catching the intimacy of people, spy them, invade their space, make everyone a legend, an icon, a moment in time.
everybody is a star on facebook.
since then the project went on and i was having great fun drawing and sending the images to the people. the reactions were the most diverse. many people still think it is a facebook plugin or some machine generated image. weird.
here i attach a selection of these drawings, which in total amount to almost one thousand. i don’t know where all this thing will head to, but that’s the nicest part: do something without a reason.
